What causes the lack of balance?

A few words about fault diagnosis…

• New technology cars have more and more electronically controlled systems. For faults that occur in the electronic systems, diagnosis is required to quickly and accurately address the problems that arise.

• Diagnosis in cars is essential and helps the technician in repairing the fault. The most important results of diagnostics are the safety of the passengers, the proper functioning of the electronic systems and the ease of the auto repair shop in case of repair.

• The new vehicles are equipped with a range of electronic systems, called engine management systems, brake adjustment, airbag, gearbox, air conditioning, central locking, lights and much more. These systems have brains to control their operation with a microprocessor that processes the information from sensors and activates certain valves or servomechanisms when needed. Such valves are the injectors, the recirculation valve, the locks, the ABS valves in the hydraulic unit, etc.

• Checking the operation of individual systems in a vehicle automatically means self-checking and recording of faults, which occur in a system. This can happen at three different times, at start-up with the system self-checking, during operation in the same way and at engine shutdown, if there is a check.

• The system brains have one or even two memories to store the faults which can be read by the diagnostic device and then repaired by the qualified technician.

Auto Body Shop:

It is the main way to determine if the car has had a serious crash in the past. It is a thorough check of all structural parts. This is the only way you can feel secure that the active and passive safety of the car is comparable to the original manufacturer’s specifications.

Mechanical Parts:

Inspection of all mechanical parts for malfunctions and damage. The inspection is carried out visually and by examining individual components. The inspection shall be carried out in two phases (engine in operation) in order to draw the relevant conclusions.

Mileage diagnosis:

We have specialised equipment capable of connecting to even the most inaccessible vehicle diagnostic systems. In this way our engineers are able to retrieve the actual mileage as recorded by non-modifiable subsystems which cannot be tampered with, unlike the odometer on the dashboard.

Ramp control:

Raising the vehicle for a detailed inspection of the underside. The portable ramp allows the vehicle to be lifted in situ, giving the mechanic direct visual access to the vehicle. In this way it is possible to detect even the smallest leaks accurately.

Check of the electrical system:

All electrical systems of the vehicle are checked for short circuits and malfunctions. Voltage and CCA cold start amps are measured.

Check of the interior:

Everything related to the vehicle interior and passenger comfort is examined. Our mechanics note that it can have an impact on the feeling of use. An important control element is a thorough check of the vehicle’s information systems.

Brain diagnostics:

Brain check of the engine and other major subsystems. Reading of recorded faults with or without a check engine indication on the dashboard. This allows fault detection even in the absence of obvious indications during engine or other subsystem operation.

Chemical testing:

The mechanic takes a sample of the engine oil to perform the chemical test. The chemical treatment allows us to infer information about the vehicle’s past maintenance and the wear and tear of the engine.

Driving test

Carry out a driving test to detect any audible or other indications of malfunction of moving mechanical parts such as the gearbox, steering wheel, shock absorbers and body vibrations.

Document check

Checking all the accompanying documents of legitimacy of the car such as the registration certificate, Vehicle Technical Inspection Centre (KTEO) and maintenance history.
